Abigale Lee
Miller (born on the 21st of September, 1965) is a famous American
choreographer, dance instructor, and reality TV host. Abby Lee Dance Company
was established by her. It aired on eight seasons of the show Dance Moms.
Miller admitted in June 2016 to fraudulent bankruptcy in the felony category.
Miller was sentenced on the 27th of June the 27th of June, 2016 to a year, and
one day in federal prison. She was released in March 27th in 2018. In April
2018, she was diagnosed with lymphoma which is a form of cancer that makes it
impossible for her to walk. To get around, she now uses a wheelchair. Miller
was born in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. She was a dancer and was a student under
her mother at Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller was just 14 years old when
she was asked to choreograph and the role of coach for one of her mother’s
competitive dance teams. Miller later took over the studio in 1995 , and
changed its name to it Reign Dance Productions. Miller was certified by Dance
Masters of America in 1986. She became a part of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania
Chapter 10 in February 2012. However Miller's membership was terminated by DMA
in February 2012 after the DMA stated that Miller's reality-TV series Dance
Moms was "a complete distortion of teachers and students of dance and is
detrimental for the profession of dance."
